Thank you to the Evan J. Strong team. My beloved mom’s funeral was nothing short of perfect. I received so many compliments from guests about the beautiful service. Individually, Nicole was professional and compassionate. The aftercare with Kelly was particularly helpful because I was in a fog of grief, as the executrix, and her efficiency /knowledge took a weight off my shoulders.

Dealing with my husband passing away after being ill for 18 months was very difficult. Having Rachel walk us through the daunting paper work including forms for my university age daughter, survivor benefits, etc. was such a support. Marni, the office administrator was so patient regarding all the changes I kept making with the obituary after I submitted it. Not only are their fees reasonable relative to other establishments but their professionalism and understanding staff truly was evident. We had been interviewing various funeral homes last week to do the planning for our loved one.. Evan Strong was the last place we visited. As soon as we met Kurtis we knew, this was the individual who we wanted to take care of our loved one. He was sensitive, kind and most importantly very informative. The price was the best price we had found during our research. Don't think that a lower price means less service, in this case less meant more, way more.!

The funeral director and the attendants looked after us at the funeral and burial of my brother. I was so impressed at everything that they did. They were all pleasant, kind, respectful and reverent all the time. I think that to the majority of the visitors and family, your team was invisible.
Kurtis made sure that we had every question answered before we could think of it.

It's awkward commenting on a Funeral service because it's so personal. That's likely why I was so impressed with EJS is because they treated every detail so personally.

My late Mother, Theresa Koch, volunteered for 20 years at her church. In that time, she worked with all of the Funeral services in Calgary. She was so impressed with Evan Strong's individual attention to detail and execution that she specified Evan J Strong to handle her services to her family and in her will.

When the time came, we contacted EJS, as instructed. During this difficult and emotional time, EJS, and specifically Kurtis, were a rock of support and information. They listened to our requests and put together a tender and fitting ceremony. We always felt like part of the process and they arranged and delivered the farewell that my Mom had wanted.

I found their services, options and pricing to be excellent.
My sincerest appreciation and Thanks to Kurtis, Evan and the entire family at Evan Strong for helping carry the load at a very difficult time .

My initial telephone conversation with Kurtis was very helpful and informative. He provided me with all of the information that I needed and when I asked him for the address, I was a little shocked that it was in Calgary as I thought I had selected a place in Airdrie. I was going to change my mind but my daughter said Just go for it as we had already provided and receive the information that we needed. I am so glad that we made that choice. Upon meeting Kurtis personally we felt very relaxed. They had a beautiful comfort dog which we all loved. All of the arrangements were made quickly with a lot of personal interaction with Kurtis. He made it a very good experience for us . On our second visit again it was a very good experience for us Kurtis had everything ready for us. The cost was unbelievable. It did not take our life savings.

My most sincere condolences to Carol and the Pilon family. Larry was a kind, compassionate and caring person. He will be sadly missed by his many UCT Brothers and Sisters in Atlantic Canada. May he rest in Peace.

The "family" at Evan Strong were amazing. I was trying to deal with this crisis from far away and they made it happen.
