William Garrison Hamilton

Garrison Hamilton of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the age of 81 years at home. He is survived by his wife, WynMarie of 51 years. Garrison was predeceased by his brother, David (Kathi). Garrison is also survived by nieces Beth, Paige and Kimberley and their children. He was born in Montreal, Quebec. to parents Elsie (Lester) and Garrison Hamilton, Sr. He was raised in Montreal, graduated from McGill University in 1965 in Civil Engineering and joined Dominion Bridge Company. In 1974 he and WynMarie married in Montreal and in 1981, he was transferred to the Calgary office of Dominion Bridge.

He and his wife lived in the Parkland area for over 40 years. Garrison retired in 2010. He was an active choir member for many years at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Inglewood.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 1423 - 8h Ave. S.E., Calgary, AB on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 11:15 am.  Burial will be at Queen's Park Cemetery, St. Joseph's section 3219 4 St NW, Calgary, AB T2M 3B4.20
