William (Bill) Thomas Presidente

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Bill Presidente on December 31, 2020 in Calgary, Alberta.

Born in Thunder Bay, Ontario the oldest son of the late William and Marion Presidente. He was the loving and devoted father to Carly (Steven Ryan), and adoring grandfather to Hunter and Kaleb. Brother to Rocco Presidente (Linda Nash), Deborah Dickinson (late Michael Dickinson), and the late Paul Presidente (Tammy Percival). Loving Uncle, known as “UB” to Jaclyn, Kelly and Christopher Dickinson; Nicholas and Michelle Presidente; Mikayla and McKenzie Presidente.

Bill’s love of music started in the 60’s in Toronto, and he was the drummer for the folk band “Strawberry Fair”. He was immersed in the clubs and music scene in Toronto. Bill’s knowledge of music was extensive and he was an avid memorabilia and vinyl collector. His guitar was never far from reach. Bill’s occupation always took him to positions that showed his flair for dealing with people in sales or hospitality. He loved the British dramas and was a long time Coronation Street follower. He loved sports and divided his hockey allegiance among the Leafs, Red Wings and Flames and was a founding member of the Toronto GQ Hockey Team. Bill will be sadly missed by Sally Jackson Dent; his good friends for over 50 years, Marvin Vader, Eileen Gamble, Jon Black, Marni Leis, and Frank Sirianni; and also, Chris Graham who shared his love of guitar.

A private family Funeral Service will be held at Evan Strong Funeral Services on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 1:00pm MST (3:00pm EST). Due to COVID restrictions the service will be live streamed. A link will be available below on Thursday, January 7.
