William "Bill" Andrew Gauthier

Bill passed away after a long, fulfilling life and a short illness. He was born in Hamilton, Ontario to Edmund and Jenny (né Campbell) and attended St. Patrick Catholic School. Bill joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1951; he served in Korea, the Middle East, Europe and at various bases in Canada. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #285. After 30 years of service, he retired and went on to work with Alberta Distillers Ltd for 14 years. In his full retirement, he enjoyed camping and hiking with his friend and loving wife, Susan, and spent hours with his faithful furry companion, Katie. Bill was pre-deceased by his first wife, Mary (né MacFarland); his sisters, Margaret and Anne; and his brother, George. To remember him, he leaves his children: John (Heather), Andrew (Stephanie) and Maryanne (Glenn); and his stepdaughters, Cari-Ann (Jake) and Cindy (Warren); as well as, his grandchildren Chris, Derrick, Joshua, Olivia, Dawson, Ella and Kylie; and his great grandchildren Lauren, Zoey, Caeden and Nikolas; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bill received excellent end-of-life care at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to them in Bill’s memory.

According to Bill’s wishes, there will be no viewing or funeral service.
