William (Bill) Gammack

Bill Gammack of Calgary, Alberta passed away on May 5, 2026. Bill was born in Aberdeen, Scotland to James and Harriet Gammack on July 21, 1930. Bill immigrated to Canada at the age of 21 and initially settled in Toronto. Always an outdoor enthusiast, the lure of the Canadian Rockies called, and he moved to Calgary. It was here in 1952 that he met the love of his life Alice Gammack (Nee Hamilton). They married and had three sons and one daughter, David (Andrea), Michael (Dot), Ian (Annemarie), and Heather (Mike). He also has eight grandchildren, Eric, Laura, Nancy, James, Jason, Andrew, Alicia, and Kyle. Bill and Alice were happily married for 68 years.

Bill was predeceased by Alice on March 1, 2020.

As per Bill's request there will not be a funeral. There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
