Travis Swyripa passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the age of 36 years. Travis was born in Calgary to Bill and Elaine Swyripa. He met his spouse, Tia Listhaeghe in Junior High and they now have a beautiful son Dane (age 4) who has all the best qualities of his father. Travis excelled in athletics, playing hockey at a high level. He played for Team Pacific, Junior A for the Calgary Canucks, & in the WHL for the Regina Pats. Travis had an amazing work ethic and earned a degree in Environmental Science at U.B.C. He followed his father into the oil and gas business where he was a very successful geologist. Driven and hardworking, he used his many talents renovating his own home as well as his parent’s cabin in Vernon, BC where he spent many memorable summers playing golf. There was never a dull moment when Travis was around as he did everything to the extreme - including boating, wake boarding, snowboarding and cliff jumping.
Travis will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. Travis is survived by his spouse, Tia; son, Dane; mother, Elaine; and three brothers, Daniel, Christopher and Jason. He is predeceased by his father Bill (O.W) Swyripa.
