Timothy Lamont Obituary

As we announce the passing of our beloved Tim, it is with both deep sadness and solace, as we know that he is now resting in peace with Our Lord and Saviour.

Tim was born May 13, 1945, to Samuel and Vera Lamont. He passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on June 28, 2025, after suffering for several years with Dementia.

Tim is survived by his loving wife Koral, children Brenda (Ron), Bruce, Shane (Leanne), Koreen (Aaron), and Cory, brother Dave (Buena) and sister-in-law Cheryl. He also leaves behind many grandchildren whom he loved dearly Rayna, Kalsey, Brittney, Sarah, Auston, Emily, Amanda, Shaylene, Keaton, and Carson. He was also blessed with great grandchildren Jhéda, Brooks, Roman and Huxley. His memory also lives on with several cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Sam, his mother, Vera, his brother-in-law Gordon, and grandson Sloan.

Tim was born in Calgary, AB where he graduated High School and went on to attend SAIT. His career path included many jobs that incorporated his education in electronics. This combined with his constant desire to learn new technology, eventually led to his lifetime career at SAIT, where he retired as the Manager of Information Systems. After his brief retirement, filled with many home renovation projects, he went on to drive School Bus for 10 years, before he finally retired to spend more time with his family.

In addition to his love for family, Tim had a huge heart for his furry four-legged babies and grand babies. Although he did enjoy travelling to new places, camping was his chosen vacation time, as it enabled him to share the holiday with the furry family members as well.

His family and friends were so appreciative, as he was skilled in many ways, and was always willing to share his knowledge and lend a hand.

Tim will be forever remembered for his amazing sense of humour. From an early age he loved a good prank, which at times did get him in trouble. He was always ready with a quick joke or witty comment.

Family and friends are invited to join us at Harvest Hills Alliance Church (10099 Harvest Hills Blvd. NW, Calgary, AB) in a Celebration of Tim’s Life on September 13th, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

"In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer Society of Calgary in Tim’s memory."
