Terry Gerard Bernard

On Sunday, July 28, 2024, the world lost one of the best husbands, father, stepfather and grandpa, Terry Bernard.

He is survived by his wife Donna; their children, Laura (Mark), Kris (Shaye), Jaime, and Brian (Aimee); and their grandchildren, Ben, Nathan, Charlotte, Ember, Georgia and Lily. His parents Melvin and Eunice; brothers and sisters, Louise (Francis), Florence (Tom), Aubrey (Ness), Armand (Marg), Ken, and Gina (Mike); and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ron; father-in-law, Nick; and nephew, Devin.

Terry was born in Tignish PEI, on November 29, 1961. Growing up on a dairy farm Terry’s hard work ethic and love for school put him on a path to earn 3 tickets in Mechanics, Electronics (where he received the highest marks in the province at the time) and Instrumentation. He and his wife Donna then started their company Innovative Technical Solutions in 1993 and Terry quickly became the ‘go to person’ in the oil and gas industry for gas compressors.

Despite the demands of his work, he consistently prioritized family - a testament to his unwavering commitment. His infectious laughter and larger-than-life personality will echo in our hearts, a cherished melody we’ll forever miss.

We would like to thank the Palliative care doctors and nurses at the Tom Baker center for providing exceptional and compassionate care during his final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Shepard Community Hall (10800 84 St SE) on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. For those who were unable to attend in person, a recording of the service is available below.
