Shirley Irene Lowery

Shirley Irene Lowery, born February 19, 1933, in Wayne, AB, passed peacefully in hospital on February 21, 2025. Married to Dr. Robert E. Lowery, October 15, 1955, their love endured all tests of time from this life and will onto the next.

Shirley graduated from Sacred Heart School of Nursing in Spokane, WA, in 1953. She practiced nursing in varying fields all throughout the US and Alberta, while also being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is predeceased by her son Shawn, daughter Joanne, grandson Rob, and was the matriarch of her family, as the last remaining child of Guy and Mina Jackson. She is survived by her adoring husband Robert, son Kevin (Bonnie), grandchildren Shauna (Shane), Brandon, Blake (Ruth), and Darci. daughter-in-law Lori, son-in-law Brian, nephew Jim, and 3 great-grandchildren.

We would also like to acknowledge the special relationship that she had with her great-niece and her husband, Heather and Rob Nolin, who provided constant friendship and support over the last many years.

A Visitation will be held for Shirley at Evan J Strong Funeral Services South (5502 2 Street SW) on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 1:00pm-2:00pm.

A funeral will be held at a later date.
