Shirley Gladys Brookes

Shirley Gladys Brookes born on October 2, 1932, in Royston, Yorkshire England passed away on January 11, 2026, peacefully at the Canmore Hospital.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur (Roy) Brookes, her son Michael Brookes. She is survived by her daughter Jeredene Ollenberger (Darrell) and son Andrew Brookes. Two grandchildren Caroline and Elizabeth (Dan) and two great- grandchildren Robert Michael & Bonnie Marie Pratt.

The family immigrated to Canada in 1969 and eventually settled in Canmore in 1970, their forever home. Mum worked at CIBC, Canmore Mine Office and finally at The Canmore Hospital as Executive Secretary until her retirement, after retirement mum a dad enjoyed world travelling, camping, playing darts and of course spending time with friends a family until dad’s passing in 2020.
