Sheldon McCormack Obituary

“The grass is greener where you water it”; something Sheldon would say if you asked him for a piece of advice. Not only because he loved being outside watering the grass so he could strike up a conversation with anyone who walked by, but because he truly had the most positive outlook on life and made the best of every situation.

The most genuine, caring man ever known but not one bit shy to voice his opinion because, usually, his way was the right way. He was the type of man that used no instructions to get through life because he did everything by heart. His perfect day would be cracking a cold one and being surrounded by good people and good food. Anyone that knew him, knows he loved to tell jokes and the fact that they were always the same 3 jokes made them even funnier. Sheldon had a heart of purest gold and would literally give you the last penny he had. He thrived on and lived for making others feel happy. You could always be guaranteed a good time if he was around. Sheldon was just one of those people that would enter a room and you’d feel instantly happy.

He was a collector of all things. Where others saw junk, he always saw the beauty and potential of what it could be with a little TLC . He was the successful business owner of McCormacks Bobcats service for 35+ years and took pride in every job he did. He was very well known all over the lower mainland! Sheldon loved old cars and anything antique. He had a special eye for treasures and loved showing his finds to everyone.

He was such a proud, hard-working man his whole life. Not a day goes by that we won't think of the life lessons he has taught us. I pray we can use those to be more like him, and not let the little things get in the way of our happiness and live every day to its fullest!! He was an undercover Momma’s boy at heart. Sheldon is survived by his beautiful wife Anna Marie of 38 years; his son Tyler McCormack; daughter Stephanie Ishak; son-in-law Tyler Ishak;  his pride and joy, grandsons Stetson and Brooks Ishak; and grand-dogs Dax, Cash, and Nahli.
