Sharon "Lynne" Grose

January 5, 1946 ~ November 12, 2020 (age 74)

Obituary

Lynne Grose passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer, at the age of 74.

Lynne was born in Portage La Prairie, MB.  She moved to Calgary, AB in 1966, where she started her Oil and Gas career.  Lynne was a member of the Desk & Derrick Club for 45 years and held many board positions, including Association President in 1994.

Lynne said she had no regrets about how she lived her life and her ‘Bucket List’ was full.  She was fortunate enough to live life to its fullest by traveling around the world and enjoying adventures with friends and family.  She loved to dance and never needed a reason to dress-up in a costume, just for fun.  Lynne had a positive outlook on life and taught Motivational Seminars.  Lynne enjoyed volunteering wherever she was needed.  She was known for her kind and generous spirit.

Lynne will be dearly missed by her daughters Tracy (Kim) Himer and Tammy Grose; their father (Lynne's ex-husband) Don (Rebecca) Grose; along with her grandsons, Tristan Himer and James Grose.

Lynne is also survived by her mother, Evelyn Wilkinson; her sisters Carol (Gord) Garnham, Marna (Claire) Bulbuck, Pam Stinson, Kimberley (Kim) Fingas; her brother Don Wilkinson; her sister-in-law Shirley Wilkinson; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Lynne was predeceased by her father, Arthur Wilkinson, brother Kerry Wilkinson and sister-in-law Brenda Wilkinson.

The family would like to thank all the staff at the Rosedale Hospice for making her last days as comfortable as possible.

As per Lynne’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made "In Memory of Lynne Grose" to the Rosedale Hospice.
