Sandra Kay (Beattie) Daurie

Born and deceased in Calgary after a battle with cancer. Sandra is survived by her husband of 53 years, George Daurie; her children Darren and Jackie Daurie; four grandchildren; and her sister Elizabeth Nelson (nee Beattie).

Sandra attended Rosedale School through junior high and then Crescent Heights High School. She was a Delta Phi Gamma Sorority Member.  She had Grade 9 piano and was awarded First Class Honors in 1960 at the under 17 competition across Alberta.  Sandra was one of only 38 women at the time to graduate Dental School. 

She was a very loving and protective mother.  I was a very fortunate man to have married her.  Sandra will be deeply missed by a great number of people.
