Salvatore "Sam" Guido

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Salvatore Guido.

Salvatore was born on June 10th, 1939, in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy. He passed away in the early morning hours of September 8th, 2023, in Calgary Alberta, Canada, at the age of 84 years old, surrounded by his loved ones. 

Salvatore is predeceased by his father, Agostino Guido, and mother, Serafina Guido. He leaves behind his wife, Maria Guido; his children, Agostino Guido, Frank Guido (Stephanie Guido), Mario Guido (Daniela Guido) and Tony Guido (Amanda Guido); his grandchildren, Cheri-Ann Guido (Chad Linnell), Vince Guido, Chelsey Pettersen (Jeffrey Pettersen), Erica Wiebe (Phynex Ruttan) and Kaylee Guido; great-grandchildren, Amelia Wiebe and Jack Wiebe. Salvatore also leaves behind his siblings, Rosa Mosca (Joe Mosca), Jerry Guido (Debbie Guido), Antonietta Neufeld (Chris Neufeld), and Frank Guido (Janet Desousa); his stepmother, Caterina Guido; as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins, in Calgary, Toronto, Blairmore, Lethbridge, Italy and Washington DC.

He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

May his soul rest in the hands of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Saviour.

Funeral Mass will be held at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, (1714 14 Avenue NE, Calgary) on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at 10:30 a.m.
