Ruth Motley

Ruth Motley of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was predeceased by her husband, John and her siblings, brothers, Kenneth, Sidney and Norman.

Ruth and John immigrated to Canada in 1954 and settled in Calgary in 1955, where they raised their family. Ruth made lifelong friends on West Glen Crescent, volunteered in her community, and continued her active lifestyle. Ruth joined the Second Sixties Outdoor Club at 65, learning to hike, Cross Country ski and snowshoe.

Mom (Nana) will be greatly missed by her daughter, Fiona (Roger); son Hugh (Cindy); grandchildren : David (Melissa), Margaret (Rob), Mary (Rob), Elizabeth, William (Jessica) & Michael (Charlotte); and her 4 great-grandchildren: Noah, Ethan, Deanna, and JW.

We will especially miss her humour and sense of adventure. A private memorial for the family will be held in the Spring.
