Rose Choy

Rose passed away peacefully at Peter Lougheed Centre, on Friday, October 10, 2025. She was born on September 3, 1938 in Kongmum, China. Following her mother, she moved to Mancau when she was a toddler. Afterward, she moved to Hong Kong in 1954 and worked as a housemaid between 1954 to 1959. During this period, she met her husband, Chuen Sun and they married in 1959. After married, she became a housewife and took care of the family. In 1996, she and her husband moved to Canada and settled down since. Rose was a dedicated Catholic and all her children were baptized as a baby, and she brought the whole family to church every Sunday. Rose loved to celebrate holidays, she would decorate her house beautifully and cook big feast for Christmas and Chinese New Year.

Rose will be forever missed by her husband Chuen Sun, her children Pauline (Robert), Peter (Yee Man), William (Yen) and Pius, her grandchildren Evan (Ellis), Gloria, Martha, Valeria (John), Xerxes, her great-grandchildren Alison.

Vigil Prayers will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (400 Edmonton Trail NE) on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 6:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetueal Help Church on Friday, November 28, 2025 at 11:00 am followed by a Reception at Royal Taste Chinese Cuisine 粵食粵美 2.0 (2825 32 Ave NE) at 2:00pm.
