Rosa Spadafora

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Rosa Spadafora, who departed this world on June 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in San Giovanni in Fiore, CS, Italy, on October 22, 1926, Rosa lived a life defined by love, strength, and devotion. 

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Domenico Spadafora, as well as her two dear brothers, Saverio and Luigi, her cherished daughter-in-law Carolann, and beloved son-in-law Leo. Together, Rosa and Domenico built a beautiful life centered on family, love, and tradition. Their greatest legacy remains their four cherished children: Maria (Leo) Aquila, Giuseppe (Serafina) Spadafora, Rosario (Linda) Spadafora, and Francesca (Giovanni) Spadafora Marra. Rosa was also blessed to be the proud Nonna of thirteen grandchildren, Big Nonna to twenty two great-grandchildren, and three precious great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Italy and Switzerland, all of whom she held close to her heart. 

Rosa will be remembered for her unwavering love, wisdom, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. She instilled deep values in her family, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and kindness. Though she has left this world, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know and love her. 

Rosa’s life will be celebrated through a Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Pl NW) on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 11:00am where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share in the love she so generously gave to all. A Viewing will be held at 10:00am prior to Mass at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. 

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Savoia, the Bayshore company and caregivers, case manager Elizabeth Davidson, and the doctors and nurses of Foothills Hospital Unit 42 for their exceptional care, kindness, and support. They would also like to extend their extreme thanks to Rosa’s devoted daughter, Francesca, for her unwavering love and care, ensuring her mother was always well taken care of and surrounded by comfort and affection until the very end. 

Forever in our hearts, Rosa will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
