Rosa Holman (nee Raso)

Rosa Holman (nee Raso) lost her courageous 3 ½ year battle with cancer on November 23, 2020.

Rosa was born November 9, 1969 in Melbourne Australia and moved to Calgary in 1971 with her parents Felicia and Salvatore Raso, and her brother Peter to join the rest of the Sirianni family. Younger sister Antonia was born three years later. Rosa graduated from Mount Royal University in 1990. She met Michael Holman working at Kmart and got married on June 3, 1995. They just celebrated their 25th Anniversary this year. In 1997 they welcomed their daughter Jessica, and in 1999 their son Lucas. Rosa loved family, and always put her family first.

She had an infectious laugh, beautiful smile, and a great sense of humour. She loved traveling and absolutely loved the mountains and the ocean, visiting Canmore in the summer and Mexico in the winter. Rosa was an avid Flames fan and referred to going to the Flames games as her Disneyland. She was a dedicated Telus Employee for 25 years, where she made many friends.

Left to mourn are Rosa’s parents Felicia and Salvatore Raso; her husband Michael; her children Jessica and Lucas; brother Peter (Joanne); nieces Amelia, Julia and Ava; sister Antonia Lanza (Carmine); nephew and niece, Antonio and Michaela. She is also remembered by mother-in-law Lorraine Holman; sister-in-law Tamara Holman; nephews and niece Andrew, Justin, and Shayla; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins here in Calgary, in Italy, and extended family in Australia.
