Bob passed away peacefully on June 25, 2020 under the compassionate care of the Foothills Hospital ICU. He will be lovingly remembered by Diane, his beloved wife of 53 years; his children Lisa, Sheldon, Brendon, Marc, Bruce, and Dani; his grandchildren Karalyn, Liam, Amberly,  Emma, Taylor, Connor, Jayden, Sara, Elise, Tegan, Megan, and Nathan;  and great grandchildren Noah and Serenity. Bob is also survived by his brothers Tim, Ted, and Phil; and sisters Juliette, Annette, Lucille and Sylvia. He was predeceased by his parents May and Edmund, and his brother Martin. Bob was born in Saskatchewan and left the province after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan. He worked as a Chemical Engineer for Shell Canada for 34 years in refining, oil, gas, oil sands, and environmental engineering. After retirement, Bob consulted in the oil industry for several years. Bob was active in parish life, including leading the Building Committee for a major church renovation (2001-2005), and serving in the St. Luke’s Parish Refugee Support Ministry for 30 years. Bob loved running, cycling, and camping with his beloved wife, especially across Alberta and Arizona. His favorite pastime was cutting trees with his many chainsaws. A private family Funeral Mass will follow.
