Richard Llewellyn

It is with great sadness that the family of Richard Llewellyn announce his sudden passing on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at the age of 57.

Richard was born in St Andrew Jamaica on November 3, 1966, and emigrated to Calgary as a young boy in the 1970s. He stayed in the city for the remainder of his life where he built businesses in window and furnace cleaning. There was nothing he could not fix or do.

He leaves behind to mourn his mother Elsie Lawson (Llewellyn), sister Lorilee Lawson (Scott), daughters Richelle Bailey (Ron), D’Ante Jones (Phil), and Shealyn Cossette, grandsons Xzavier and Isaiah Bailey, niece Anjali Scott, nephews Keenan & Kolby Scott, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends across North America and the Caribbean. He was predeceased by his brother Stephen Lawson, uncle Karl Llewellyn, and grandparents Alvira and Leopold Llewellyn.

A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Evan J Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE) at 1:00 pm with a recording below for those who were unable to attend in person.  Private interment for family to be held at a later date.
