Peter Smeets

Peter Smeets passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at the age of 87 years.  His jokes are forever silenced. Peter has gone to join his wife Heddy Smeets (Klappe). He is survived by his daughter Tammy O’Brien and her husband Dan, son Perry Smeets and his wife Marjorie, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. At Peter’s request, there will be no funeral service. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Peter’s family through www.evanjstrong.com.  In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Alzheimer’s Calgary (800-7015 MacLeod Trail SW, Calgary, AB T2H 2K6​; 403-290-0110; https://www.alzheimercalgary.ca/).
