It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving father and gentle soul, Peter Schmidt, on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at the age of 79 years. He will be dearly missed by his son and daughter-in-law, Kelley and Alicia; granddaughter Jelena; Kelley’s mother, Marjorie and husband Douglas; sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Dave, and their children (and families), Clinton, Russell, and Lindsay. Peter will be in good hands with the grace of God, and his deceased daughter, Heidie Marie as well as his parents, Hildegard and Gerhard. From all of your friends and family, Peter, we love you. Your positive influence in everyone’s lives will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services (5502-2 Street SW, Calgary) on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM .  If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Calgary Humane Society (4455 110th Avenue SE, Calgary, Alberta, T2C 2T7 https://secure2.convio.net/chs/site/Donation ).
