Pedro Legero Rausa

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Pedro Rausa on the early morning of February 11, 2021 at home in Calgary, Alberta at the age of 97. Pedro was born in Pangasinan, Philippines and immigrated with his wife to Calgary, Alberta, Canada in November of 1994. 

Pedro is survived by his five children, Nelly, Rick, Josie, Vangie and Eva; his six grandchildren, Joanna, Katrina Jhoy, Juvelyn, Julius Jr., Julian and Abigail; and his two great-grandchildren, Zeph and Jason. He is now with the Lord alongside his wife, Angela, and his sons Rolando and Orlando. 

Pedro, lovingly known as Tatay by family and those around him, was a very kind and loving father who never failed to make another laugh. You would be most fortunate if you were to hear his jokes or experience his wit and charisma. Tatay was a role model father and he worked hard for his family. He lead a life of humility and selflessness. If one were to make a mistake, he would embrace you with open arms, showing grace in a heartbeat. He was strong, not in power or stature, but in love. The characteristics of a Godly man were in him. 

He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. Tatay will remain in our hearts. The memory of him will continue to bring joy and teach when we recall his life and character.
