Paula Josue Carrasco

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Paula Josue Carrasco, who left us peacefully on April 21, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born in Manila, Philippines, Paula lived a life defined by kindness, grace, and unwavering love. She was a devoted wife, mother, lola (grandmother), daughter, sister, and friend whose gentle spirit and warm heart touched all who knew her.

Paula was the heart of her family—the glue that brought everyone together and held them close. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her loved ones, whether gathered around the table enjoying her delicious cooking or simply sharing a laugh. Her love language was food, and through every meal she prepared, she showed her deep affection and care. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: laughter, her favourite songs, a good book, a day of shopping, and keeping in touch with her lifelong friends.

Her faith was a pillar of her life, a quiet strength that carried her through every season. Paula deeply believed in the power of prayer and lived her faith with humility and devotion, inspiring those around her by example.

Paula was beautiful both inside and out. She carried herself with a grace and generosity that made everyone feel seen, loved, and cherished. Her warmth, compassion, and selflessness left a lasting impact, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Victor; her sons Reynard (and his partner Pippa), Myron (and his wife Tia), and her daughter Shaleena and their beloved pups Benson and Kenny; her treasured grandchildren Raf, Kyanna, and Olivia; and her siblings Let, Ricardo Jr., Renato, and Tara.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Evan J. Strong Funeral Home (3625 12 Street NE, Calgary). The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

Paula’s radiant smile, her enduring spirit, and her example of living selflessly and joyfully will remain in our hearts always. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered forever.
