Paul Rehmann

It is with sad but loving hearts we announce the passing of Paul Rehmann on June 27, 2021, at the age of 94 years. Paul is survived by Ella, his loving wife of 69 years; his children Harry (Sandra) and Renee (Paul); grandchildren Christie (Nick), Michael (Erin), Leah (Marty) and Rebecca (Jeff); and great-grandchildren Felix and Quinn. Paul's parents, Berta and Imanuel, and his siblings, Arnod, Gustav, Alfred and Alide predeceased him.

Paul was born on February 24, 1927 in Mintschuna, Bessarabien, Romania and immigrated to Canada in 1951. He married Ella (nee Irion) on November 14, 1951 and settled in Stettler, Alberta. In 1969, the family re-located to Calgary, Alberta. Paul’s faith was important to him, and he was active in the Lutheran Church throughout his life. Paul was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed. 

A private funeral service for family was held on Saturday, July 3, 2021 at 1:00pm. A video of the service is available below for those who were unable to attend.

The family wishes to thank Pastor Markus Zeuch, Dr. Nischea Sihota, the staff at Foothills Medical Centre, and the staff at Chartwell: The Harbours for their support and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church (66 - 7 Street NE, Calgary, AB T2E 4B7).
