Patricia “Patti” Whiteley Obituary

Embraced in the love of her husband and daughters, Patti passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026.

Patti was born in Edmonton and moved to Calgary at a young age.  At the age of 17 she met Ray.  Two years later she married the love of her life and a few years after that they started their family. Being an only child, when Patti married Ray, she cherished being part of a large loving family. Family was first and foremost for Patti. She was the heart and rock of our home and was always there for us. Her love for her grandsons brought her great joy. We have fond memories of family camping trips, vacations to Disneyland and Mexico, and regular family get togethers. She enjoyed the winters her and Ray spent in Arizona with family and friends. Mom was also our biggest cheerleader and supported us in our passion for baseball and from that she developed her love for the Toronto Blue Jays. We love you and will miss you immensely.

Patti is survived by Ray, her loving husband of 57 years, her three daughters Tracey, Jenn and Jodie, her two sons-in-laws Darren and Jeff, and her two grandsons Isaiah and Hayden. She is also remembered with love by her two brothers-in-laws Ken (Val, Kerri, Konni and families) and Rick. She was predeceased by her parents Mary and John Plenderleith and her parents-in-laws Lil and Joe Whiteley.

The family would like to extend our gratitude to the amazing medical care teams of the South Health Campus Emergency Department, Rapid Access Unit and Intensive Care Unit for their professionalism, care, honesty and compassion given to our wife/mom and to us.

There will be no service as per Patti’s wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the South Health Campus, the Kidney Foundation, the Cancer Foundation, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
