Paolo (Paul) Claudio Piotto

With sorrow and cherished memories we say goodbye to Paolo (Paul) Claudio Piotto, 62 of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Paul was a beloved husband, father, brother and friend. He believed in hard work, honesty and the importance of keeping one's word. Those who knew him knew they could count on him - steady, loyal, and true.

Raised with strong family values and a deep sense of community, Paul carried those principals into every part of his life. He had a passion for the outdoors, taking enjoyment in going camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking. Nature was truly one of the places where he felt most at home. He excelled as a master mechanic who took extreme pride in his work and felt no job was too big to take on.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife Rita, his children, Paul Spencer, Tomas (Raeesa) and Victor (Daniel).  He is also survived by his siblings, John (Maria) Piotto and Marina (Paul) Mason, along with extended family in Calgary and Italy. He was preceded in death by his parents Angelo and Maria Piotto.

Paul's strength, integrity, humour, and quiet love (but booming voice) will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Corpus Christi Parish (404 Northmount Place NW, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 10:30am, live-streaming will be available through the link below.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul/Corpus Christi Parish (ssvp.corpus@gmail.com) or the Calgary Humane Society.
