We are sad to announce the passing of Pacencia Pecadizo on May 18, 2025 at the age of 84. She was born in the Phillippines on May 30, 1940. Moved to the US in 2010 then became a Permanent Resident in Canada, year of 2021. She went back and forth between Las Vegas and Calgary for 10 years, crossing the border that included 18 hours of drive just to be with her children and grandchildren. She showered us with kindness, generosity and unconditional love.
She was the kind of person who never missed a birthday. Every year, like clockwork, she would call us, wherever she was, greeted us warmly, full of love and smiles!
Nanay loved to cook for her family even when her lower back was hurting from standing and cooking, she would still cook; For breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would even plead for her to stop cooking because she was in so much pain but nothing made her happier than serving us with her delicious dishes she prepared. We can still remember the sounds of the dishes clanking and the wonderful aromas. She showed love the best way through cooking!
She made her entire life about loving and helping others. Her legacy continues, through each of us who were so incredibly fortunate to be loved by her.
After her courageous fight with Kidney and Heart Problems for 6 months, she quickly lost her battle. It was a long and difficult journey, and the past few weeks were especially the hardest for us all. She is now gone to live with the Lord above, but she is still here with us, smiling down on every one of us, and telling us she will be okay! Her love, laughter, and generous spirit will be dearly missed by all.
Nanay, you will always be in our hearts!
