Neil Alexander Jeanson

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Neil Alexander Jeanson announce his sudden, unexpected passing caused by a severe heart attack on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the age of 53. 

After graduating from High School, Neil worked for a seismic company during the winter. Working outside in -50 degrees temperatures, soon sent him to seek out what was offered at Mount Royal College.  He graduated in 1993 with a diploma in General Administration/Insurance and worked in the insurance industry as a commercial broker or underwriter for the rest of his life.  Like many, Covid changed his life and he had to set up an office at his home.

In January 2023,  Diesel, a cute little black and white Havanese dog came into his life and into his heart.   

Neil is survived by his loving parents, Sharon and Roger; brother David and wife Elizabeth, their children, Jessica, Jordan and Landon; as well as his beloved dog, Diesel.  He will also be sorely missed by his uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, many cousins, goddaughter Mahlia, and special friend Sheila. 

Neil will be missed dearly by his family and the many dear friends he made over the years. 

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. James Catholic Church (5504-20 Street SW) on Friday, August 9, 2024, at 11:00 am. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. Interment will be the following day, Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 1:00pm at Edenbrook Memorial Gardens.
