Nadia Caroline Russo

With immense sadness and unrelenting heartache, we announce the passing of  Nadia Caroline Russo on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at the age of 42 years after a courageous battle with a brief illness. Nadia is survived by her husband Karl Sonnichsen along with their two beautiful daughters Sofia Ruby (4) and Edie Matilda (2) who will miss their mother dearly; her mother Annunziatina Russo; brothers Francesco (Natasha), Sergio (Tara) and sister Tiziana; nieces, Rene and Eva; nephews Jonah and Antonio and many aunts, uncles and cousins in Calgary and around the world. Nadia was predeceased by her father Benito Russo. She was born in Calgary Alberta where she lived her short life to the fullest. Everything she did was done with zest and passion. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church (640 19 Ave NW) on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 10:00 am. Graveside service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
