Michael Anthony Knox

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Anthony Knox in Calgary, Alberta on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the age of 62. Michael (Mike) will be deeply missed by his children, Braedon, Owen, and Andrea; his siblings, Theresa (Ted), Stephen (Maureen), and Anita (Roger); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mike was a devoted family man, loyal friend, and dedicated professional whose presence left a lasting mark on all who knew him. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He treasured family vacations with his children and siblings, as well as countless gatherings filled with laughter and connection. Whether camping with family, golfing, hiking, fishing, or playing squash, Mike embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. He also loved simply sitting down for a visit, catching up with friends both old and new.

From his early days in Medicine Hat, Mike nurtured friendships that stood the test of time. Over the years, he continued to form lifelong bonds wherever life took him, building a wide circle of people who valued his warmth, humor, and loyalty.

Faith played a central role in Mike’s life. He was an active member of his church, volunteering during Mass and participating in seminars and conferences. At home, he dedicated himself to studying religious topics, deepening his understanding and living his beliefs through service and kindness.

Mike also had a lifelong passion for computers and technology. His curiosity and skill grew into a successful career, most recently serving as Principal Systems Administrator at S&P Global before joining Wipro as a Principal Engineer. His expertise, professionalism, and mentorship leaving a strong impression on colleagues and peers.

Above all, Mike will be remembered for his devotion to his loved ones, his generosity of spirit, and his steadfast faith.

Funeral prayers will be held  on Thursday, August 28 at 7:00 pm at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (541 Silvergrove Dr NW, Calgary, AB T3B 4R9). Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 29  at 11:30 am at St. Peter’s Catholic Roman Church (541 Silvergrove Dr NW, Calgary, AB T3B 4R9). Reception immediately following the Funeral Mass in the Parish Hall. Interment to follow after the reception at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery 243208 Garden Rd, Calgary, AB T1X 1G2.
