Matthew Patrick Potvin

Matthew was a ‘one-of-a-kind’, someone whose presence filled the room with warmth, humour, and an undeniable energy. His quick wit, playful smile, and ability to turn any situation into a moment of laughter made him unforgettable.

Matthew had a unique talent for storytelling, spinning tales and cracking jokes that left everyone in stitches—and no one laughed harder at his own stories than he did!

Matthew had a deep love for his dog, Maya, and she adored him just as much. Every day, she greeted him with an excited “he-llooo,” and Matthew was convinced she was actually saying it—and to anyone who heard, it did sound convincing.

His absence is deeply felt, but the love, laughter, and light he brought into the world will stay with us forever. His spirit lives on in the memories and joy he shared with everyone who knew him.

Most fittingly for Matthew, this Irish Blessing says it all:

“May the road rise to meet you,

may the wind be always at your back,

may the sun shine warm upon your face,

and until we meet again,

may God hold you in the palm of His hand.”
