It is with great sadness that the family of the late Marion M Wilkins (Boyd) announces her passing at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks, Alberta aged 70 years old.
Marion was born on February 8, 1950 in Windsor Nova Scotia. She met the love and rock of her life Edwin when she moved to Toronto, where they started a family and a beautiful journey together. Ultimately they raised that family in Newfoundland, moved to several provinces over the years and retired in Buchans.
Marion was loved by everyone who knew her. Her kind, gentle nature was reflected in all those she loved and will be for many years to come. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. Yes, she was a great grandmother! She took pictures of everyone and everything in her life, loved to sew beautiful quilts and travel to many far away places most recently in early 2020 to the south of France, Spain, and Italy.
She also loved old county music, laughing at Mr. Bean, and just recently had taken up golfing. She had quite a swing!
Left to morn with fond and loving memories are her sons, Chesley (Erin), Tim (Treena), daughters, Marianne (Jeff), Dawn (Adam), Shelly (Michele), grandchildren, Peter, Lauren, Michael, Arthur, great grandchild, Wesley, and brother Jerry. And lots of extended family and friends.
Marion is predeceased by her husband Edwin and her parents Lois and George.
You’re with dad now mom.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy donations in her memory, can be made to Foothills Country Hospice. They took wonderful care of her and her family during this difficult time.
