Dear Family and Friends,

It is with great sadness that the family of Marie Rocha announces her passing peacefully in Calgary on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at the age of 89.

She is grieved by her loving husband of 66 years, Sebastian Rocha; children Lynda (Angelo) Affonso, Tony (Charlotte), Mary (Neville) Rego, Barbara (Vernon) Lewis and Zelma (Ashley) Carvalho; grandchildren Crystal (Andrew), Allison, Justin (Mia), Jonathan (Rachel), Jordan, Joshua, Jason, Kimberley and Richard; great-grandchildren Julia, Enzo, Ethan and Elsie; she was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Candida Mendes; and her siblings Mickey (Juliet), Annie (Nicholas), Baltu (Colleen), Kitty (Connie) and Fr. Gaspar.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Catholic Church (15 Templebow Road NE, Calgary) on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.  Burial will follow at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery (243208 Garden Road, Calgary), followed by a reception to celebrate Marie’s life at Evan J Strong Funeral Services (North Location – 3625 12 Street NE, Calgary). For friends and family who are unable to attend, the mass was recorded and can be viewed below.
