Marguerite Marie Rizzoli

It is with deep sadness the family announces the peaceful passing of Marguerite Rizzoli on January 24, 2025 at the age of 95.

Marguerite was a sweet, loving, gentle soul whose lifelong mission was dedicated to raising and caring for her family. It was her greatest passion and accomplishment! With her quiet strength and unconditional love, she selflessly gave all she possibly could. And even then, she gave and sacrificed a little more. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her joy, her pride, her boast!

It was only when her children became successful adults, did she venture into hobbies and activities that gave her pleasure later in life. For ten years, she was a part time employee at Safeway Deli, Market Mall. Marguerite was an avid weekly hiker, seamstress, quilter, crafter, painter, baker and shopper, who always enjoyed meeting with friends for coffee. Her kind and generous spirit endeared her to many lifelong friendships. Her crafts graced many a home!

Marguerite's commitment to community service was unwavering. She was a long-time member of St. Luke's Catholic Church where her countless hours of volunteering, particularly with the CWL, were legendary. Her strong faith and grace were quite evident throughout the challenges of her journey.

Marguerite will forever be loved and remembered by her three devoted daughters: Patricia (Earle), Marilyn (Harvey), Catherine (Danny), daughter-in-law Jane; her grandchildren: Dru, Eryn, Ashley (Bryan), Stefanie (Cassidy), Cole, Shelby; her great grandchildren Adym, Ben, Chamberlain, Wes, Tatum and Makenna. She was predeceased by her husband Rene of nearly 70 years and her only son Bryan.

Should friends and family wish, donations can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or Alzheimer Society of Calgary.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at every level, in every department, at Cogir Senior Living, Scenic Acres, for the attention, care and compassion so generously given to Marguerite.

A Private Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated with the family.
