Margaret 'Ann' Calnan

Ann Calnan, age 69, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at home.

Ann was born on September 14, 1955, in Toronto, ON to Ron and Kay MacDonald and grew up in Edmonton, AB.

Ann was known for her kindness and generosity.  Her ability to recall details of people’s lives was reflected in the thoughtfulness and detail of the gifts she would give.  She was a voracious reader who was fiercely independent and who cared deeply about friends and family. 

Ann was an adventurous chef who would often host dinners with a main course she'd never attempted but briefly spotted on a menu and recreated.   Ann was someone people loved to share news with.  She was boundlessly enthusiastic when things were good and sincerely empathetic if they were not.

She is survived by her daughter, Erin (Mike) Rehmann; and predeceased by her parents and her husband, Ron Calnan.

There will be no funeral or memorial service, however donations may be made to The Canadian Legacy Project to support senior veterans in her honour.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and support from friends and family during this difficult time.
