Lloyd Pilgrim was born in Trinidad and completed his early schooling in Trinidad. Lloyd was associated with the Anglican church and was a member of the church choir. His well-trained operatic singing voice could attest to that.
Lloyd travelled to England and then migrated to Canada. In England, he attended Christopher Wren College where he studied and pursued a career in plumbing and pipefitting.
Lloyd’s favorite subjects were history and geography. His conversations often centered on these two topics. Lloyd enjoyed golfing and won many trophies at tournaments he participated in.
Lloyd was predeceased by his parents Austin and Maude Pilgrim; his brothers Charlie and Samuel Pilgrim; his sisters Vilna, Daphne, Myrna, and Ruth Pilgrim; his brother-in-law Baron Currie; and his sisters-in-law Joyce and Everyl Mae Currie.
Left to mourn the loss are his wife Pansy; his son Ware; his daughter Nneka; his brothers Noel and Herman (“Mackie”); his nephew Joel; his niece Jandelle; his brother-in-law Glaister Currie; his sisters-in-law Myrna Currie and Hezlyn Allwood; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
