Linda Maroudia Zaferis

Linda left this life quietly and gently, surrounded by love and with family at her side. From brief interactions to deep connections, she always left a lasting impression. Her kindness, compassion, and caring made her beloved in both her work and personal life.

Predeceased by her father Johnny, and mother Mary, along with all her aunts and uncles. She is survived by her brother Nick Zaferis, and sister-in-law Heather Walker, both of Montreal; her brother Seamus McKeating and sister-in-law Jennifer Gunter, both of Victoria, BC; her sister Shauna McKeating, and brother-in-law Mark Maarhuis, both of Thrums, BC; as well as nephews, Forest (Eryn), Nicholas (Elodie), Orion (Katie), Benen (Phoenix), and niece Maeve.  

She touched so many lives in so very many ways. Daughter, sister, auntie, nanna, neighbor, nurse, confidante, mentor, cook, baker, potter, painter, yogini, nature-lover, avid walker, advocate, and cherished friend, she will be deeply missed by too many others to name. Her immediate family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and unending gratitude to Linda’s long-time friend, Tammy Runions, for her invaluable generosity, time, skill, support, understanding, and love throughout Linda’s illness. Thank you to all her friends for the phone calls, visits, gifts, and other kindnesses over the last two and a half difficult years.
