Leslie Trombley Obituary

Leslie Floyd Trombley was born September 26, 1941 in Merle, Saskatchewan, and passed away quietly February 19, 2024 in Calgary at the age of 82.

Predeceased by his parents Walter and Gunhild (Fredsburg); siblings Eleanor (Donneff), Lorraine (Squire), Millard, Dorreen (Strong), Jennifer (Larsen), Kenneth, and Neil.  He is survived by his wife of 58 years Noreen (Grosse); his children Lyndon (Anne), Darcy (Robin), and Kathleen (Ashley Boyd); and his grandchildren Mackenzie, Wyatt, Spencer, Mya, Aidan, Jaidyn, and Feran.  He is also survived by his brother Harold, and many nieces and nephews.

Growing up around Saskatchewan, and Ontario, Les spent time in the Navy before getting married and moving to Calgary, in 1966.  He was a master electrician and in the early 80s started his own company Lestrom Electric.  He worked with many businesses including Standens, Edo Japan and The Palace Movie Theatre, etc.  His children will remember large bags of popcorn coming home when he did jobs at the movie theatre.  He treated his customers well and had a good reputation for doing the job right the first time and standing behind his work with a strong sense of integrity.

Les was a character.  He loved to play golf, cards, and to tell jokes.  He played guitar and loved to connect with people.  He enjoyed travelling with his wife and went on many adventures.  For the last 19 years, time was spent at their cabin in the community of Pine Lake.  He loved taking his grandchildren for rides in the golf cart and the boat.  Going to Dwayne’s for a revel will forever be missed.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff at Aspira Brittania for taking such good care of Les and making him comfortable in his final days.
