Laurette Marie Rita Feighan was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on December 21, 1935. As a young adult, she left home and moved to Edmonton. It was there that she met her lifetime companion, Alex, and they were married in 1962. Together, they raised four children: Denise, Patrick, Charlene and Teresa. In the early years, Laurette was a stay-at-home Mom devoted to loving, nurturing and guiding her children. Later on, Laurette and Alex became avid travellers. Over the years they made many trips with family, friends, or sometimes just the two of them. Their travels included several cruises, a trip to Scotland and bus tours of Atlantic Canada and Europe. Laurette became very skilled at needlework and produced some beautiful pieces of petit point, needlepoint and cross stitch. One of her greatest joys was becoming a grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of two. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
