Kevin Patrick Nelson

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kevin Patrick Nelson on February 13, 2020. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Marilyn (Lynn); children Kelly Nelson, Scott Rodgers, and Lori (Frank Tarbox); grand-daughters Shealene Nelson, Rynne Nelson, and Alexis Tarbox; sisters Marilyn and Betty. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Ellen and John Nelson; his son, Sean Nelson; and his brother Brian Nelson. Kevin was a past President of the Native Calgarian Society. His career was spent predominantly in the oil and gas industry. Other passions included Anniversaries in Banff, Saturdays at St. Luke's, reading and travel. A funeral mass will be held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church (1566 Northmount Drive NW) Monday, February 24, 2020 at 11:00am with reception to follow in St. Luke’s Parish Hall. The Family would like to thank the amazing people at the Rosedale Hospice and the incredible care at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre. The love and compassion shown truly helped through the very tough times. If friends so desire, donations to the Rosedale Hospice  and/or Tom Baker Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
