Katherine Bremner

Katherine Bremner (nee Truba) was born on July 12, 1928 near Meath Park, Saskatchewan and passed away peacefully in Calgary on April 13, 2020 at the age of 91 years. She is survived by Frederic Bremner, her husband of 68 years; her children Lynda (Bob) Pope and Frederick (Andrea) Bremner; as well as her 3 grandchildren Julia Pope, Jack Bremner, and James Bremner.

Katherine lived a long and full life which involved caring for her children and family, working in the arctic for Dome (now Amoco) Petroleum, oil painting, gardening, and spending long summers at their cabin at Shuswap lake. She was a long-time member of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church and a member of the CWL.

Due to current restrictions, a private service and burial has taken place. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to Alzheimer’s Society  (www.alzheimercalgary.com).

The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Father Lacombe Care Centre who cared for Katherine through the last few years of her life.
