Joyce Umbach

Ms. Joyce Umbach of Calgary passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the age of 81.

During Joyce's career she was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Fox Creek Hospital, which was newly opened at the time. This was a perfect career for Joyce as she was a very caring and kind lady.

Joyce leaves behind her daughter, Kristine (Chuck); her much loved grandchildren, Stephani (Caillan), Courtney, Levi (Alison), Connor (Jessica), and Addison; her brother Warren (Susan); and sister Marian (Glenn). She is predeceased by her daughter Kerry; brother Dale; mother Freida; and father Ben.

The family would like to thank the many friends and family that have taken the time to reach out, the support has been overwhelming. Along with the Nurses and Staff at Southwood Hospice and the Peter Coyle Place where Joyce called home for 16 years.

A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services South (5502 2 Street SW) on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
