Joseph Fletcher

Joseph Lee Fletcher of Calgary, AB, made his journey home Monday, November 4, 2024, in Tsuu T'ina Nation. 

Joe was raised in the community of Bowness and later graduated from SAIT with Honours, as a Journeyman Electrician. He went on to work with Air Canada and various companies across Canada, but always came back to his hometown.

Joe loved to travel and made friends everywhere he went, often making lifelong bonds. Joe will forever be remembered for his kindness, outgoing personality, and adventurous spirit.

A unique and humble man, he was known for his generosity, not only with gifts, but with his time, compassion and friendship. He loved to bike, play billiards, add to his native art collection, and jam to Blues music.

Joe had a tremendous soft spot for the numerous children that came into his life. As someone many could count on, Joe made a significant impact on his closest friends, family and community and his presence will be deeply missed.

He is predeceased by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher. He is survived by his goddaughter, Tia Ledesma, his angel Elizabeth Labelle, and his traditionally adopted families: Big Plumes, Little Pines, Ledesma, Ear, and Labelle. Joe has too numerous friends and we apologize for anyone we have not listed.

Funeral Service will be held at Evan J Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 Street NE) on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. For those who are unable to attend in person, there will be a livestream link available below.
