Joseph Merveyn Enes

Joseph Merveyn Enes passed away on April 5, 2022, at the age of 70 years.

Merv was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta and lived there until he left to attend university. He received a degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary in 1977.

Merv went on to have a career in computer programming; then started his own business in computer support and consulting. He enjoyed designing and construction and later started a small renovation company.

Merv was baptized at Centre Street Evangelical Church in Calgary and attended and volunteered there for many years.

In his early adult years, Merv loved to tour on his motorcycle and drive fast cars. During his mid years Merv was an avid country dancer and a regular at The Ranchman’s where he both danced and instructed. In his later years, he enjoyed many beach vacations where he loved to dine, dance, suntan and snorkel.

Merv was a big fun-loving guy with a big smile, big sense of humor and an even bigger heart.

Merv will be mourned and missed by his son, Derek Bishop; partner and soulmate, Patrice McHugh; and family and friends.

The loss is immeasurable, but so is the love left behind. Rest in peace, Merv.

A family memorial will be held at a later date.
