Jose Pascual Concepcion

It is with great sadness that the family of Jose Concepcion announce his passing on October 22nd, 2020 at the Rockyview General Hospital. Jose was 94 years old and passed while being surrounded by family. Born and raised in the Philippines, Jose married Cleotilde Bada on May 5th, 1956 where they had 5 children (4 biological & 1 adopted). He worked on the grounds at Subic Bay Naval Base for over 25 years, then retiring in 1986. Jose and Cleotilde immigrated to Canada in 1995, landing in Calgary where they would be with their daughter and her family to help raise two of their grandchildren.

Jose was a family man whose pride and joy were his grandchildren. Through his hard work, he was the first in his family to be able to provide an education for his children by putting them all through university. He loved watching baseball and was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan. Jose was a kind & gentle man and will be remembered for always having a smile on his face. Even at the age of 94 he still maintained his sharp wit and excellent memory.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years Cleotilde; Sister Cipriana; Brother Telesforo; Daughters Shirley (Ken), Nieva, Rosemarie, Vida (Arnel); Son Henry (Cynthia); as well as grandchildren Shawna, Stephanie, Denice Nicole, Aira Zera, Hanz Benjamin, Czarina Viel and Vea Anngeline.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nursing staff on Unit 71 at the Rockyview General Hospital for their excellent care.
