With profound sadness, we announce the untimely passing of Jordan Fotsch in Calgary on February 20, 2025 at the age of 31.
Jordan was beautiful...inside and out. She was a truly kind and caring person who always put others before herself, no matter what she might be going through herself. Jordan's mom, Rikee, called her a "warrior princess". She fearlessly defended her beliefs, stood up for those who were bullied, always championed the underdog--especially if the underdog was a defenseless animal. She was a true animal lover and protector who had many pets throughout her life (several who were rescues). She loved her fur babies!
Jordan had always been proud of her mom being one of the first women working in the male dominant world of construction. Rikee was equally proud when Jordan followed in her footsteps. Together they became one of the first mother-daughter teams working together in the construction world. At the same time as she excelled in this masculine field, Jordan loved to wear make-up and get dressed up, adding a bit of glitter whenever she could.
Jordan was so fun to be around, always laughing and cracking jokes. The fact that she had a hard time understanding jokes in general made her all that more endearing. Like her mom, she was very literal which is why she often didn't understand jokes. Rikee would often explain the jokes to her and she would take it in good humour.
Jordan loved her family more than anything in the world. Nothing was more important to her than her son Xavier, though her brother Damian was a very close second. She will be immensely missed by her mother Rikee, brother Damian and her son Xavier, as well as numerous family members and friends who were lucky enough to know her.
A Public Viewing will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE) on Friday March 28, 2025 at 1:00pm followed by interment at Rockyview Garden of Peace.
