John Riseborough

With great sadness, the family of John Riseborough announce his death.  John will be remembered for many things.  Amongst them, his dry sense of humour, big smile, forgiving personality and integrity.  The mountains were his playground and he was an avid hiker, an amazing skier and a good hand with horses.

Survived by his devoted wife Lynn Donaldson as well as Lynn’s sons Daryl (Kristy Kerr) and Neil Bailey (Christy Bailey).   Our grandchildren Ryanne and Hudson John (Hud) Bailey brought him endless joy.  John had a very loyal, constant companion, Benji and their reunions at the hospice were heartwarming to watch.

The family would like to thank “the daughter he never had” Joelle Sopp who enhanced our lives for many years.

Funeral service will be held at Red Deer Lake United Church (96187 Hwy 22X West, Foothills, Alberta) Friday, July 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM.  Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with John’s family through www.evanjstrong.com.  If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be mailed directly to the MS Society of Alberta in memory of John Riseborough, attention Lesley Gomez.
