John Othen Obituary

John Henry Othen, 73, of Calgary, Alberta passed away on January 14, 2021 after complications brought on by Covid-19.

John is survived by his wife of 42 years Lavone, Daughters Raye-Lynn (James) and Haley (Jake), brothers, sister, loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. John was a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather and a friend to everyone.

John was a bus driver for Calgary Transit for 45 years. He was a strong, supportive and compassionate man, who would brighten up anyone’s day with a warm smile and a friendly joke. He will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him.

There will be a Celebration of Life on August 7, 2021 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Jubilee Banquet & Event Centre (Unit 105, 2886 Sunridge Way NE Calgary, Alberta).
