Joan Rose Murphy (nee' Rennie)

Joan Rose Rennie (Murphy) of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at Agape Hospice on November 6, 2019 at the age of 60 years.

Joan was born in St. Leonard, NB to Elizabeth and Arthur Rennie. She worked hard all her life and was passionate about her work with children. Joan began her career in Calgary doing childcare. She then went on to work at the Calgary Saddledome and then finally found her place working with special needs children as a school bus attendant. Joan was a proud mother to her three daughters and always gave it her all while raising them. Joan is survived by her husband James Lebedoff; her siblings, Mary Mabee (Peter Mabee), Sharon Powers (Paul "Junior" Powers, deceased), Carol Rogers (Roy Rogers), Wayne Rennie (Debbie Chase), Marlene Allen (Brad Holmes), Laurie Delong , Peter Rennie (Laurie Fitzherbert), and Michael Rennie; her children, Tina Murphy, Terra Murphy (Christopher Bremner), and Trina Murphy (Shaun Dias); her bonus children, Ted Lebedoff, Tim Lebedoff, Phoebe Lebedoff (Ashley Straightnose), and Jamie Marion. And last but not least, her beautiful grandchildren, Jaylene Murphy, Jay Murphy, Alexander Murphy and Sadie Rose Murphy. She was predeceased by John Rennie and Edward Rennie.

Funeral Service will be held at Evan J. Strong Funeral Services Ltd. (5502 2 Street SW) on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 2:00pm. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00pm.
